"At the time I was terribly confused about very fundamental things, like marriage, relationships, chastity, true love, true heroism. I was desperately looking around for just one example of a couple who did things the right way, got married, stayed married, and did not regret it. I clung to examples that I found in books, mostly old classics, and fairy tales. A couple people close to me could not understand why I loved fairy tales so much. I don't think I really could have explained it to them, at the time. Then I found the book [The Shadow of the Bear] in the house of an acquaintence, and asked them to borrow it. In a time of my life when I was rather afraid of boys and men, I read your tale of the two young men, sleuthing the streets of New York City, risking their lives to bring the man who murdered a priest to justice. Bear and Fish were young, they were men, but they were strong and also kind. They were heroic. It was awesome." -- Maria F., 9/6/09

"I don't have any idea of what, if anything, is "out there" in this category - - - but this is VERY good. The only thing I know to compare it with are Madeline L'Engle's Austin Family series - because there is a solid moral core with realistic characters who have to make tough choices." -- Robert Trexler, C.S. Lewis Society, New York

"About a year ago, I was doubting even the most basic things, such as the Lord. I read your books... and after that, everything seemed to slowly even out, and now my faith is stronger than it has ever been. So thank you so much for these books - they've touched me and helped guide me in so many ways. Thank you so so so much....Your books are my all-time favorites...THANKS!!!" - Chelsea, 6/11/08 (full quote)

"I think that there needs to be more books like yours for teens because it shows that there are people out there who aren't afraid to share the faith, letting teens know that it's cool to have a relationship with the Lord. I think that's one of the reasons why so many people love your books, because it's an alternative to all the other books out there and it shows that you can love your faith, have a relationship with the Lord and still have fun and enjoy life." -- -- Anna D., 16.

"Who is the fairest in the land" games don't always end up so nicely... A novel for teens based on the popular fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm

Way after midnight in New York City, a girl runs down the streets, looking for someplace to hide ... is there anywhere she can go to escape? Is there anyone who can help her... now?

This dark but fulfilling sequel to The Shadow of the Bear is based on a familiar fairy tale from the Brothers Grimm. Circumstances have placed Blanche Brier entirely on her own this summer in New York City while Bear is wandering through Europe and her family is on vacation. Blanche is fast becoming the focus of a terrifying play of evil forces. Even the refuge she takes among some lively Franciscan friars does not protect her from dangerous attacks. Rather, they continue to escalate as she struggles to persuade a sick and aged man from killing himself. Discovering Blanche's disappearence, Bear and Fish cut short their European vacation and join up with Rose to begin scouring New York City looking for Blanche. But the same malevolence that is lurking over Blanche seems to be hunting them as well and drawing them all togther into a death trap until it seems that all hope is gone. Yet during this time, the desires of Blanche's heart are being clarified - and so are Bear's.
A black night. Tested faith. Honest love.

GREAT!! - A five star review on Amazon.com
In 'Black as Night', Blanche is alone in New York city. A mysterious enemy is stalking Blanche and framing her for a crime she didn't commit. Regina Doman's sequel to 'Shadow of the Bear' is just as exciting and unique as the first book was. Two thumbs up!!! -- February 15, 2006

Hey! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your books! I own 'Shadow' and 'Black as Night' and am awaiting to get my copy of 'Waking Rose.'  I love the Catholic themes in the stories...and the romance and humor that also went into them. I also recently loaned my copies out to a close gal friend of mine who isn't Catholic (she's Christian though!) and she adored the books and ordered all three online! I'm very excited to get my hands on 'Waking Rose' and am blessed to be one of your fans!  Megan, age 17, Roseville, MN

UPDATE! A reader informed me that the song "You Take My Breath Away" sung by Brother Leon, was actually written and recorded by British recording artist Claire Hamill. If you'd like to hear the song, or more songs by Claire Hamill, please visit: http://www.clairehamill.co.uk/
